Onshore wind farms

PGE is the leader in onshore wind energy. But we are not stopping. We are striving to make optimal use of this technology also on the sites of our current conventional power plants.

At the end of 2022, PGE Group had 20 wind farms with a total capacity of 772 . Increase of owned zero-carbon capacity in onshore wind farms is planned through own projects but also via acquisitions of operational wind farms and projects at the building permit stage or repowering of existing assets.

On September 20, 2023, PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. purchased 100% of the shares in LongWing Polska sp. z o.o., which owns the Zalesie wind farm with a capacity of 24.9 , located in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship in the municipality of Płośnica. It consists of 7 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.55 . The new investment can supply electricity to almost 38 000 households and will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 61 000 tonnes per year.
